First Nations

Monumental opportunity

In 2014, as never before, First Nations have a unique role, which it alone can fulfill. First Nations have a monumental opportunity to play a major leadership role, demonstrating good stewardship and responsible governance of the natural resources Canada has been blessed with. While, at the same time caring for and protecting the oceans Rivers and lands for all Canadian generations to come.

In the next eighteen months, or so, looming on the horizon is the 2015 Federal election, the question of the Gateway pipeline, and even the democratic process may well be challenged, land titles, resources, and treaties are to be dealt with.

These issues have the potential to change the dynamics, and possibly, the future not only for First Nations but for all Canadians. Together we have to find the courage, understanding, knowledge, and wisdom. To enable us to recognize that we are all one, this means that in some interdependent web we are jointly responsible. We all play a role in co-creating, therefore, helping to manifest the reality of the world we find ourselves in today.

These are going to be challenging times, not only here in British Columbia, but will have far reaching implications, that'll affect not only First Nations, but all Canadians, across Canada.

Invite like-minded friends, and let's join in a conversation to inspire action, growth, and change.
